Our Values
Education & Care
We strive to broaden and develop all children’s knowledge, skills and instil a love of learning and lifelong skills. We believe that young children learn best when they are playing and directly involved in their learning, are actively emerged in first-hand experiences and when they feel happy and safe. We provide an environment with natural materials and resources for children to engage in open-ended learning both indoors and out. We ensure quality outdoor experiences that provide children with a learning environment that allows creativity, thought provoking ideas, and risk taking activities.
Health & Wellbeing
We are welcoming, friendly, and happy, making sure that each child knows that they are loved, for being the unique individual they are. Safeguarding is of paramount importance to us, we provide safe and secure environments for children to play, develop and thrive and ensure that all staff are suitable to work with children. Our children have home-made delicious and nutritious meals every day and we ensure all of our children have daily opportunities to be outside in all weathers, taking opportunities to explore, discover and move.
Achievement
We are committed to excellence; developing skills for learning, life and work. We strive to provide the highest quality, have high expectations and aim high to challenge children’s curiosity and for them to be the best they can be. We encourage learning through play, with activities that stimulate each individual child’s natural curiosity, in an atmosphere of encouragement and praise.
Partnership
We work with each other as a team and as part of our wider community, professionally and effectively to enable all to succeed. We promote an enriched communication environment where everyone is listened to and valued. We develop strong nurturing relationships by being open, honest and respectful with children, parents, colleagues, committee members and other agencies we work with.
Independence
We encourage our children to be independent, curious, creative and resilient learners. To be courageous and take risks, challenging themselves and each other. All children are empowered to meet their own needs, to respect themselves, each other, their community, and their environment. Our children are empowered to be fully involved in their play and learning through skilled interactions with staff.
Inclusivity
We ensure everyone feels safe and belongs, regardless of background, ethnicity, learning need, disability or starting point. We promote a culture of tolerance, inclusion, diversity, equality, fairness and opportunity to meet individual needs and allowing opportunities for all to succeed.
